Joe has been a passionate advocate for our beaches, oceans, and waves growing up in NJ and vacationing/surfing along the Jersey shore. That passion fueled aspirations for marine/wildlife sciences in higher education as well as involvement in the Surfrider Foundation. Residing along the Chesapeake Bay has been a profound experience in seeing first hand the resources needed to keep the bay healthy. Joe loves getting to Assateague Island NS (or San Clemente, CA) as much as possible to surf and be at the ocean. Joe lives in Annapolis with his wife Amy and daughter, Grace.
